“Love At First Sight Is Possible, But It Pays To Take A Second Look”…

I love this quote. My interpretation makes it so fitting to my life. My name is Leanne and I am 30 years old. Most of my family and friends call me Lalee, so you can go with that.

This blog started off more as a means for me to have a diary. However, as time went on, it became more of a record of my journey in this new life. Let me explain. I have just married for the second time, I have two children (One special needs) from my previous marriage and I am almost at the end of a degree at University I only started after the fall of my first marriage. I am a major in Creative Arts and Drama as well as Education but my ultimate aim is to work in social services. (Or, you know, in a dream world become a full time writer or a pop star )

This blog was a means to reflect on the things I am learning about remarrying and everything that comes with it.

Why does the quote apply? I met my current husband on the same night as I met my first husband. I fell in love with him instantly but life gave us a path where we didn’t become an item. Many years later I got my “Second Glance” and I truly did find my soul mate. The love of my life. A man who gave me life. An incredible father to our children, a hard worker and one of the most gentle people I have ever met.

I love to write, it is a huge part of who I am. This blog allows me the oppurunity to do this on a regular basis and I hope that, in some way, I am able to help someone, or have them at the very least feel like “I have been there, I know that feeling” and feel at ease.
Also, I want to show that just because your life goes in sometimes strange, and occasionally difficult, directions it has such wonderful things and benefits that just surprise you.

I am now also really starting to push myself with cooking (Something after the demise of my first marriage I refused to do… In fact, even really during it at points) so I have a tab specifically for food type stuff for those interested in reading.
I have the most amazing husband, children, family and friends and, in spite of some of the cards I have been dealt at times, I love my life  and I hope this comes through in my writing.
