I’ve Got All My Sisters With Me…
I am very fortunate to have some amazing and close friends in my life. I could write about all of them and the things I appreciate in different ways.
Today I want to focus though on a family who have become my family. A family who deserve to know just how much I love them and appreciate them. A family who accepted me with open arms and not only embraced me (As an extension of my ‘HUSBAND! … That’s for you Kez
) but also my ratbags!
The ‘D’ family (I shall not reveal their last name due to the fact they are under witness protection! …. Oh I kid I kid!) are the kind of family that people should strive to be (In my opinion). They have your back, they would do anything to look after you and when things seem a little impossible, they support each other through it (As well as you if you need it).
Ang (And bubba Jakob), Stevie (And my little D man!), Jess (And Bubba Temperance) and Kerry have become like my sisters. They are the cutest, sweetest and most kind girls. I am very protective over them now and would fight to the death for them (Or, you know, until someone sustains a very nasty scratching or slapping injury
) I hate it when they are hurting or down and love it when we are laughing together. One of my most favourite past times is being with them, laughing or gossiping about the most ridiculous things. I wish I could give them all the world of good, but for now they will have to settle for me! (Oh man, what a consolation haha
)
Then there are Kath and John who have become very much parent figures to both myself and Kelly. They are so gorgeous, and so kind and generous and I would give them all the time in the world. On our most down days, Kelly and I get by knowing we have them to help us through.
Then there is Rohan who, in spite of appearances and that iron exterior, has the heart of a giant. He is incredible with the kids and has given my own memories to last them a lifetime. He is an absolutely top bloke. (Can’t get too sappy now or I will never live it down!)
Kelly and I couldn’t imagine a life without all of you. I just wanted to write a post to say thank you for being strength for us. With everything that has been going on, I spent a night with you guys and felt so different today. Good, happy, contented. (Laughing at the photos!)
You guys are our family, proudly. (Yes I know, extremely sappy and corny but so nice to write about something pleasant!
)
